Micro-fabrication and molecular sensing

We utilise our expert capability in microfabrication, microfluidics and chemical and biochemical analysis to develop and manufacture precision micro-componentry, molecular diagnostic systems and functionalised materials in a variety of applications.
3D printing has transformed how we make things, but currently it can’t operate on the small, 5-microns scale needed for microfabrication.
We have developed ways to make microfabrication more accessible and are proud to have created a new technology that addresses the significant need for rapid prototyping in the target microscale range.
Our areas of expertise
Molecular sensing
Synthesis of custom Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) for specific molecular recognition at very low concentrations.
Microfabrication
Using existing and new patent-pending 3D printing technologies we can make it fast, easy and affordable for researchers, developers and manufacturers to develop a wide range of printed structures for applications such as electronics, wearables, sensors, IoT devices and more.
Microfabrication and clean room facility
This facility enables us to perform precision engineering of devices for electronics, optics, microfluidics, sensors, lithography, displays and more. It also supports work requiring a clean room for environmental control, for example microplasma studies where control of bacterial contamination is critical.
Functionalised polymers
Custom smart composite soft polymers for health, electronic and soft robotic applications.
